Lithium Arcade ("we", "us") operates the family-friendly web arcade at arcade.playlithium.com. We are committed to minimal data collection and a safe experience for players of all ages, including children.

Information We Collect

• Display Names: When you submit a score, you choose a one-time display name (2–16 characters). This name is stored only in your browser (localStorage) and sent to our servers with your score. It appears publicly on seasonal leaderboards.
• Gameplay Data: We record game ID, score, submission timestamp, and season year for the purpose of maintaining leaderboards.
• Technical Data: Standard web server logs (IP address, user agent, approximate location derived from IP) are collected transiently for security, rate limiting, and debugging. These are not used for profiling or advertising.
• No Accounts: We do not require or create user accounts, emails, passwords, or persistent identifiers tied to individuals.

How We Use Information

Scores and display names are used solely to power public seasonal leaderboards and the annual Hall of Fame. We do not sell personal information. We do not build advertising profiles.

Third-Party Games & Advertising

Games are delivered via secure iframe embeds from our partners (GamePix, Famobi, and similar networks). These partners may serve in-game advertisements and may collect limited data (such as device type or session information) in accordance with their own privacy policies. We disclose this practice on the site. We select partners that maintain family-friendly standards.

COPPA & Children’s Privacy

We take a conservative approach consistent with the Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13 beyond what is necessary for the core leaderboard feature (a non-persistent display name). We do not use persistent cookies or tracking technologies for behavioral advertising. The site is positioned for a general/family audience.

Data Retention & Deletion

• Display names and scores remain on leaderboards for the current season and are archived in the Hall of Fame after the annual January 1 reset.
• You can clear your local display name at any time by clearing your browser data for this site.
• To request removal of a specific score or name from our records, contact us (see below). We will respond within a reasonable time.

Security

We use Cloudflare’s edge network, D1 databases, and standard security practices (rate limiting, input sanitization, HTTPS). No sensitive personal data is stored.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be noted with a new “Last updated” date and communicated on the site.
