These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of Lithium Arcade (the "Service") at arcade.playlithium.com. By accessing or using the Service, you agree to these Terms.

1. Description of Service

Lithium Arcade is a free, family-oriented web arcade. Games are primarily delivered through secure iframe embeds provided by third-party partners (GamePix, Famobi, and similar networks). We also maintain seasonal leaderboards where players can submit scores using a self-chosen display name.

2. Eligibility & Age

The Service is intended for users of all ages. If you are under 13 (or the applicable age of digital consent in your jurisdiction), please use the Service with a parent or guardian’s supervision. By using the Service you represent that you understand it is positioned as family-friendly content.

3. Display Names & Leaderboards

• You choose a display name (2–16 characters) when submitting scores. This name is public on leaderboards.
• Names must follow our on-screen and server-side rules (no profanity, no impersonation of staff or brands, no personal contact information).
• We reserve the right to remove or edit any name or score that violates these Terms or applicable law, or that we reasonably believe harms the community.
• Leaderboards are seasonal. Scores from the prior year move to the permanent Hall of Fame on January 1 each year.

4. Third-Party Games and Content

Games, advertisements inside games, and related content are provided by independent third parties. We do not control and are not responsible for the content, functionality, or data practices of embedded games. If you have concerns about a specific game or ad, please contact us and we will investigate with the partner.

5. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

• Submit fake, automated, or manipulated scores at scale.
• Use the Service to harass, abuse, or harm others.
• Attempt to reverse-engineer, scrape, or abuse our APIs or infrastructure beyond normal gameplay.
• Impersonate others or misrepresent your identity in a way that confuses players.

6. Intellectual Property

The Lithium Arcade name, branding, leaderboard software, and portal design are our property or licensed to us. Individual games remain the property of their respective creators and publishers. You may not copy or redistribute game assets or our software without permission.

7. Disclaimers & Limitation of Liability

The Service is provided “as is.” We make no warranties about uninterrupted availability, accuracy of scores, or suitability for any particular purpose. To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Service.

8. Termination

We may suspend or terminate access to the Service (or specific features) at any time, with or without notice, if we believe you have violated these Terms or for operational reasons.

9. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms. Material changes will be noted with an updated date.
